Does anyone remember the footballing equivalent to trainspotters? The 92 Club / 38 Club. A group of individuals that travelled around the country to see a game played at each football league ground.
Oh how they must have hated the pyramid system – the Winchester mystery house of ground collecting.
This letter from them appeared in the programme for the February 2nd game in 1985 against Airdrie. Hope they made it to both Bayview Park that day and Broomfield.
I wonder what they’re all doing now? Still travelling? Trying to complete their non-league ground collection? Who knows, we may see some of them in Scotland again some time soon.
