Episode 119 – Glory Days of Gold (Time For Things To Change)

We’re back with another episode of Glory Days of Gold, the East Fife and Scottish football podcast recorded across two continents, and for this episode across three countries – Scotland, Spain, and Canada!

Things are looking bleak down Bayview way. East Fife are languishing down the bottom of Scottish League 2, they’re out of all the cups, the players look clueless and out of ideas at times in matches, a growing section of supporters want manager Greig McDonald out, and the Board are being questioned by the fanbase about how the club is being run in all aspects off the pitch.

Was the weekend win over Clyde going to be a false dawn that just papered over the cracks or that much awaited turning point to the season? A midweek loss at Bonnyrigg Rose maybe gave us that answer. Things are dire, enthusiasm is waning, and there are major concerns about the direction the club is heading. Things need to change and they need to change fast.

Is a new manager the answer? New players, new tactics, new blood in the boardroom? Is the attempted fan over by the East Fife Supporters Society going to help or hamper any turnaround? Where is the development pathway for our young talent to come through?

Michael, Doug, Gordon, and Aaron are back to chat about all of that and more in the latest episode, and there’s a LOT to talk about and get off our chests.
