Episode 47 – Glory Days of Gold (Bounced By The Czechs with special guest Kenny Deuchar)
Welcome to Episode 47 of Glory Days of Gold. The second of our Euro 2020 specials.
After all the excitement, all the expectations, all the enthusiasm after a 23 year wait, it was almost as if it was yesterday that Scotland were at a major tournament as all the hurt and disappointment came flooding back with a 2-0 defeat by the Czech Republic at Hampden on Monday afternoon.
We’re joined again by Dr Goals Kenny Deuchar to pick over the bones of the game and chat about the nature of the defeat, the team selection, Steve Clarke’s managerial style, the mentality of the Scottish fans, and a lot more.
Plus we look ahead to the big game with the Auld Enemy at Wembley on Friday. Are we on a hiding to nothing or can we shock the world? Can we afford to be attack minded or is being defensive our only chance? And who should play in this one? Are the guys optimistic for this one?
